We watch the races and keep track of how many events happen, who they happen to, and how they affect the race. Events can be a crash, an overtake, a pitstop, or many others. We then use these to create a base score for a race.
We do not record things that happen off-camera, or after the race (such as disqualifications).
You can then vote how good, in general, you thought the race was. and all of the votes will be averaged, and used to modify the base score, to get a final score for a race.
We all know that some tracks are bad for overtaking, and others have more crashes. Using our site, you should be able to see how good a formula one race will be.
You can further customise your results. If you love the crashes but get bored with pitstops, you can use our weightings system to generate custom results which show just how exciting races are based on YOUR personal preferences.
Of course, you never can tell when a track that has previously been bit of a yawner for many years, will come alive due to weather or something unexpected from a driver, so we can never be sure!
